2011 Photos

First of all, I want to apologize for taking so long to get the web page updated from this year’s hunts. We have switched hosting companies, and since I am not the most computer literate person in the world, it has taken me a while to figure out how to do everything. Fortunately, I have some very good help.

We had another very good season with 23 clients taking 20 trophies for the spring and fall. The brown bears continue to thrive and we took 2 this year with 27” skulls. The mountain goat population is as good as I have ever seen it, and about 2/3 of the nannies we saw this fall had kids with them. That is a very good survival rate, and should give us a lot of goats for years to come.

It wouldn’t be right to talk about this fall without mentioning the weather. We had the wettest fall that I can remember, and it made all of the hunting very challenging. Most of the time, the rivers were over their banks and it pushed the bears and moose up into the more timbered country, where they were much more difficult to hunt. Still, persistence paid off and we did well in spite of the weather. However, there was not much time to dry things out between hunts.

Expenses get higher every year and we are raising our prices for 2012 and beyond. Brown bear/black bear hunts will now be $16,500 for 10 hunting days, and mountain goat hunts will be $10,500 for 6 hunting days. All other costs are the same. At this time we still have a couple of opening for both bear and goats for 2012, and more availability for 2013. We still take the same number of clients each year, so everyone is assured of getting a top quality 1 on 1 hunting experience. Feel free to contact us for a reference list or to answer any questions you may have. 2011 marked the 16th continuous year that we have been in business, and we take pride in offering the best service available.
